Citizens of the following countries are required to have a Visa to enter Nicaragua: Afghanistan, Albania, Bosnia- Herzegovina, Colombia, Cuba, Haiti, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Nepal, Pakistan, China, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Yugoslavia. All other are authomatically allowed to stay a maximum of three months in the country. If you wish to extend your trip you can either leave the country for a couple of days, to get another three months, or you can apply for an extension at the Immigration office in Managua.

To enter the country you need to have a passport valid for at least six months following the date of entry and furthermore you will have to pay a $7 entrance fee and be able to show an onward or return ticket that proves you will be leaving the country.
